CSOD Company & Prep Company
Are you interested in joining a hard working, family friendly, technique & Performance based group? our Dance companies are the place to be. By audition only, we train dancers to be well-rounded and confident on and off the stage. Dancers take Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip HOp & Contemporary classes each week and dance 2-5 days per week depending on their age and company level.

CSOD Company
The CSOD Company (previously the Encore Dance Co.) was established in 1991.
It is comprised of dancers ages 8 and up who compete at the top level at dance conventions and competitions. CSOD Co. dancers put in 8 - 15 hours of classtime/rehearsal per week to prepare for performances.
Company dancers take class in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary each week. Dancers may not compete in all styles, but will take all technique classes required in order to become more well-rounded dancers and performers. Dancers auditions for each routine they compete in. Most dancers have a minimum of 2 or 3 competition numbers each year, but some have up to 8 routines.
Dancers attend at least three dance convention/competitions and two or three competitions each year. Additional, optional conventions and competitions may be offered each season. Most of these events are held in the DFW area. Occasionally we attend an out of town event in the region (Texas/Oklahoma area). We do attend a Nationals convention out-of-state every other summer. Our next Nationals will be in the summer of 2022. Company dancers also performing at community events including the Allen Christmas Parade, city arts events, Allen American Hockey Games and more.

Prep Company
The CSOD Prep Company is for ages 6-11 . These dancers take about 3 hours of prep company class each week. They are required to take ballet, jazz & hip hop and are encouraged to take other styles if interested. Currently, Prep dancers compete at 2-3 competitions, attend 1 convention each year and perform in a few community events. For dancers new to competition, Prep is a great introduction to competitive dance.
